The ranch has its own grass airstrip and a hangar, which means a private plane can come in over the meadow and be parked out of the weather by the time the coffee is poured.
For pilots, it is a rare thing: land on the property you are staying on. For everyone else, it is one more reason the ranch feels a long way from anywhere.
